AUGUST 2 - Discipling Youth Using Proverbs by Dr. Ron Allchin
If you are a parent or work with youth, you won’t want to miss this two-part seminar! It is just in time for you to begin a discipleship program this fall with those under your care using twelve themes from the book of Proverbs (i.e. money, dating, honoring parents, friendships, work, etc). Dr. Ron will teach you how to use his workbook, Growing in Wisdom.
During his 40 plus years as a youth pastor and counselor, Dr. Allchin has seen a downward spiral in our youth culture. Drugs, teenage pregnancy, pornography and rebellion all have a common root: the rejection of wisdom because they did not choose the fear of the Lord. Growing in Wisdom is an interactive Bible study, a discipleship tool that can help reverse this trend. It is a good resource for individuals, groups, classrooms, and youth ministries because it’s a life-changing guide to wisdom.
